Colombia - Anaerobic Natural Gesha - 8oz
Origin: Colombia
Varietal: Gesha
Processing Method: Anaerobic Natural
Elevation: 1,700m
Tasting Notes: Fruit Loops, Bergamot Orange, Strawberry, Hibiscus
This is only the 2nd time in Dozer's 3.5 years that we've sourced a Gesha varietal to serve in the cafe. This is a very exciting and unique Gesha coffee. Gesha beans are known for their sweet and floral flavors in the cup as well as their high price tag being the most sought after coffee cherry varietal. These beans was anaerobically and naturally processed and come to us from the Huila region in Colombia. The smell of the beans after roasting brings memories of a bowl of Froot Loops cereal. For being an anaerobic coffee it is not over the top funky however. There's a great balance of flavors between a deep bergamot orange acidity, ripe strawberries, and finishes with a floral hibiscus aftertaste.
We still can't decide if we enjoy this cup more when it's hot or iced!
